Mobile Terms of Use

The CMC alerts is designed to deliver school closings, continuity alerts, event notifications and informational alerts to those who have opted in to 28921 keyword programs. This recurring keyword programs support all required CTIA/MMA guidelines for Opt-in, Double Opt-in, Help Messages, and Opt-out. Each program will have a specific keyword per school name or the region.

Participants who opt-in by text messaging will be automatically subscribed to receive recurring text message updates from the short code program via automated technology. (Periodically up to 9 messages per month depending upon the subscriptions chosen).

Participants may exit the program at any time by sending the word STOP to 28921. The words END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, STOP ALL, and QUIT are also opt-out words associated with this program. Participants in need of assistance must send the keyword HELP to 28921.

Participants are not required to consent to receiving text messages as a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

The text-messaging service is provided without charge, outside of the standard text messaging and data rates for text messages sent and received from a participant's handset according to the terms and conditions in their wireless calling plan (only Message and Data Rates May Apply). The text-messaging service may be subject to fees and charges imposed by a participant's wireless service provider under their mobile plan. Text messaging and wireless service are not available in all areas. Not all handsets may be supported.

Alerts sent via SMS may not be delivered to you if your phone is not in range of a transmission site, or if sufficient network capacity is not available at a particular time. Even within a coverage area, factors beyond Verizon's control may interfere with message delivery, including the customer's equipment, terrain, proximity to buildings, foliage, and weather. You acknowledge that urgent alerts may not be timely received and that Verizon does not guarantee that alerts will be delivered.
